A catholic priest urged citizens in the country to plant in them the life of Jesus, saying absence of Christ’s in South Sudanese hearts destroyed the nation.
Fr Mark Opere in his homily on Sunday at St Charles Lwanga Chapel of St Joseph’s parish in Juba, said the brutal atrocities taking place in the country were due to the fact that people lack in them Christ, Bakhita Radio reported.
He said when Christians who believe in Christ changed and cannot go out to kill, rob, rape and destroy those in villages.
Fr Opere said those doing bad things to others do not care of Jesus Christ in their lives, pointed out that doing wicked things to others cannot save one’s life.
Father Opere said the ongoing crisis South Sudan is destroying the future of the country.
