Rumbek youths from different parts of the world commended Lakes State Governor Matur Chut Dhuol on social media for his conciliatory message in the aftermath of the killing of his brother, Paramount Chief Apareer Chut Dhuol.
Hundreds of youths sent condolences and praises via Rumbek community social blog on face book, commending the Governor for urging clans-men to allow the law to take its course instead of revenge attacks, Good News Radio reported.
One of them Maluach Madit said, ‘Governor Matur is right; there is no need to destabilize Rumbek East this time for a mistake done by one person’.
Another youth, Patrick Majur, said the Governor’s message proved that he was a leader of all people.
Yar Akech Onga praised Governor Chut for his courage in calling for peace after the assassination of his brother.
The youths condemned the killing, calling on authorities to apprehend the perpetrator and bring him to book.
