War Disabled Commission calls for support

National War Disabled, Widows and Orphans Commission chairperson called on the government to support the disadvantaged groups left behind by the martyrs’.
 
Deng Dau Deng in his remarks during the Martyrs’ Day ninth anniversary celebration in Juba on Wednesday, said martyrs’ families need assistance because they cannot afford to educate their children, buy food and treat them, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
He called on states Governors to allocate residential plots to widows.
 
MP Dau urged President Salva Kiir to reform the SPLM in order to lead South Sudanese.
 
The President responded that his government was committed and would do it best to settle some difficulties facing widows and orphans.
 
He promised to work on the recommendations given by Deng Dau and ensure that orphans benefit from government scholarships.
