Central Equatoria State Member of Parliament representing Mugwo Payam in Yei River County urged the youths to have the spirit of nationalism, saying leaders ahead are not patriotic, but were messing up with tribalism and segregation.
Malish Noel stressed the need for the youths to start working on institutional reforms, end the ongoing conflict and step up reconciliation among citizens to restore peace, Easter Radio reported.
Municipal Deputy Councillor for Youth, Culture and Sports Boboya Alex urged the youths to begin identifying problems affecting them for early resolution.
Youth participant Malish Steven Cosmas said the conference equipped him with skills to identify and address some issues facing youths including early marriage and lack of creativity and innovation.
The three-day youths conference in Yei Municipality was held under the theme: ‘Nothing is for us without us’.
