Western Bahr El Ghazal Governor voiced out a demand for the transfer of the national capital from Juba Central Equatoria to Wau.

Rizik Zachariah Hassan revealed that his state was ready to host the national government’s seat in Wau to avoid discussions on federalism, Voice of Hope reported.

He said no state can claim having better infrastructures and qualified manpower to run the federal government.

Mr Zachariah said transferring the national capital from Juba would benefit Wau through infrastructures.

The Governor warned that with federalism many states would collapse because they do not have enough natural resources and manpower.

He advocated for decentralization as the best governance system in the country.
