WES Governor says South Sudan in serious dilemma

Western Equatoria Governor while addressing crowds on Wednesday at Yambio Freedom Square marking the independence anniversary said South Sudan is undergoing serious dilemma requiring political will to resolve the ongoing crisis.
 
Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro regretted the ongoing ‘unnecessary conflict’ in the young South Sudan, Anisa Radio reported.
 
He said the state government was working hard to maintain security and protect citizens and their properties.
 
The Governor urged citizens to be security conscious, avoid tribalism, gender-based violence, cultivate and go to school.
 
SPLA Division Six Commander Benjamin Gayos congratulated people of Western Equatoria for keeping peace and unity in the state during December 15 crisis.
 
He called on citizens to forgive soldiers for crimes committed during the liberation struggle.
 
Commander Gayos expressed SPLA readiness to protect people and the territorial integrity of South Sudan.
 
State high organizing committee chairperson Sapana Abui earlier welcomed all citizens to celebrate with a clear vision under the theme: ‘South Sudan: One people, one nation’.
