Eastern Equatoria Governor said South Sudan progressed amidst difficulties, saying the country is now better than it was before the independence.
Louis Lobong Lojore narrated improvements in infrastructure, living standards of people and services delivery, Emmanuel Radio reported.
He re-echoed governments’ plan to provide services to citizens, citing fast development in Juba and other towns with relative peace.
Governor Lobong lamented that where war erupted South Sudanese destroyed their own property during the crisis in the country and retarded development.
He said in other parts of South Sudan development is very slow, but sure.
The Governor admitted a gap and bitterness created by the ongoing conflict in the country and that South Sudanese and their friends were working hard to rebuild trust among communities.
He stressed the need for all people to listen and talk to one another and resolve their differences peacefully to realize lasting peace in the country.
Governor Lobong criticized the use of force to bring peace, saying only South Sudanese can resolve their problems.
