South Sudan Nuer Youths Union or NUYU appreciated the outgoing United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS head for saving many civilians during the crisis and building capacity and peace in the country.
The Union in a statement hailed Hilde Johnson for her personal participation in Comprehensive Peace Agreement that later led to South Sudan’s independence.
The Union appreciated UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon for appointing Hilde Johnson as Special Representative in South Sudan on July 8, 2011 to nurse the youngest nation.
The statement described the outgoing UNMISS Chief Hilde Johnson as a peace-broker and key role player in the birth of South Sudan.
