Juba City Council on Friday disclosed a plan to fine any person carrying out parking business without license.
Head of Legislation and Members Affairs Christina Henry Jada said the Council passed a Parking Bill call ‘Traffic Designated Parking Places’ to the Office of the Mayor for ratification.
The Bill fines people carrying out parking with an amount not exceeding 5,000 South Sudanese Pounds or four months imprisonment or with both
Ms Henry said Juba City Council shall enacted by-laws to regulate parking places and spaces for vehicles.
She said the by-laws would regulate the work of the Council and punish violations of the bylaws
Juba City Council would enforce the by-laws within 30 days.
