Cholera continues to spread infecting 2,488 people including 59 deaths.

United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs or UNOCHA reported that as of June 30 2014, cholera spread to seven states.

It added that thousands of people who fled insecurity and hunger in Unity State, seeking shelter and assistance in UN Bentiu base now face cholera threats.

UNOCHA indicated that thousands of displaced people living in flood-prone areas were relocated to new sites to improve living conditions in the rainy season.

The report reflected Crisis Response Plan seeking 1.8 billion US Dollars to assist 3.8 million people with lifesaving aid by the end of 2014.
