A Legal Aids Officer in Yei River County said police only has role of investigating the suspects without reaching agreement of paying fines.
John Data Losukwa told Easter Radio that Criminal Procedural Act does not grant police officer to have trial over some crimes, but put the information gathered into a file and present them to court.
He said oath before the court was one of the threatening words they got in police investigation stations.
Mr Data explained that taking oaths was to justify that what the suspect tells are truths.
