Western Equatoria Governor on Friday rang the first bell to open Sudan Secondary School certificate exams in Yambio.
Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro described the day as very important because it was for determining students’ abilities to evaluate the message of ‘Go to school campaign’, Anisa Radio reported.
He advised students not to panic, concentrate on their own brains and be comfortable with the final results rather than scoring high marks through fraud to end up with corrupted brains.
The Governor appreciated the increased number of girls, urging them to put their future in education and nothing else.
Education Ministry Director General said 708 candidates including 213 girls are sitting in 13 centers across the state.
He said this is the last batch to sit for the Sudan School Certificate exams.
