Western Bahr El Ghazal Governor said Equatoria has more benefits on federalism than other states in South Sudan.
Rizik Zachariah Hassan told the press on Friday that his state supports decentralized system of governance due to inadequate manpower to run the federal system in South Sudan, Voice of Hope reported.
He said Equatoria’s call for federalism was not for the benefit of all South Sudanese, but a way of isolating themselves from other tribes and getting out with the big national cake.
He said the root cause of insecurity in some parts of the country was because essential services did not reached the bottom of the governance.
The Governor called for the establishment of qualified executive and the need of addressing the infrastructural challenges.
He advised that South Sudan should first build up its practical determination where all states reach the same standard to adopt federalism.
