Yei River County Police Gender Desk Officer said they received a number of under aged rape cases with teenagers and adults, saying they are fuelled by social factors in the community.
Wilson Woi said his department identified poverty, drugs and alcohol influences, wrong use of mobile phones and dressing codes as reasons increasing the crime, Easter Radio reported.
The officer urged parents to observe behaviours of their children right from schools and at residential areas to reduce the rate of statuary rape in the society.
