Cabinet Minister said South Sudanese are not violent only that they did not have the opportunity to exercise peace and nation building.

Martin Elia Lomur√∂ expressed government’s commitment to investigate those who abused their duty of service by imposing guns on others.

He added that President Kiir issued a number of statements to specialize courts to look at crimes in the army and organized forces.

Dr Lomurö said violent was a traditional activity connected to cattle rustling, child abduction and that some people look at it as an exercise, saying there is a symbol of peace in areas without cattle.

He said guns earned during the liberation war caused more complications and now encourage some people to be violent to enrich themselves by looting cattle, taking children and women.

Dr Lomurö said the mid December crisis taught South Sudanese that weapons are bad, and that they were working hard to ensure that guns are not exposed to communities or individuals.
