Yei River County communities complained about lack of consultation on the Constituency Development Funds or CDF priorities implemented.
South Sudan Law Society Legal Aide Officer Data John Losukwa told CDF meeting on the proper implementation that citizens’ recurring complains indicated that their views were not recognized, Easter Radio reported.
He said lack of community participation led to construction of distanced water facilities, uncompleted and congested schools and roads.
The Officer said some water facilities established in Adio of Tore payam were not functional while the functional ones were situated in low populated areas.
Minyori Agency for Development and Transformation Data Officer Lagu David Seme said the complaints show that MPs did not reach communities to get their priorities.
The officials called on MPs to implement the CDF Act 2009 that allows the community to set out priorities for implementation.
Early this month the state CDF Supervision Committee boasted that the Fund for constructing schools, boreholes, roads and health facilities showed tangible results in Lainya, Yei and Morobo Counties.
