Bishop decries government’s lack of vision

The Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba on Monday decried government’s lack of vision and its failure to put historical facts in the Transitional Constitution.
 
Bishop Santo Loku Pio said the vision of the government was not clear and no Constitution that can govern the country, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
The prelate clarified that even the church follows the historical forefathers who gave up their lives for the church and planted faith in many parts of the world.
 
The Auxiliary Bishop accused the government of building country’s history on Dr John Garang who came yesterday and not on the foundation of the country from time memorial.
 
He said definition of South Sudanese and the system to be followed should be the first thing to be included in the Constitution.
 
The Bishop added that it is very important to know the past and the present before going to  the future.
 
Bishop Loku made the remarks during the opening of the 19th Pastoral Council of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba on Monday.
