Government Spokesperson told Catholic University of South Sudan graduates on Saturday that the war was moving towards an end, expressing government optimism to ink a peace deal with SPLM/A in opposition.
Michael Makuei Lueth said they would sign peace agreement soon to pave way for development to take root through the participation of graduates and others.
He urged the graduates to maintain integrity they learned to fight corruption in the country, adding that it was unfortunate that they graduated at war time.
Mr Makuei regretted damages and losses made in the conflict terming them as ‘so many disadvantages’.
He added that compatriots are expected to rehabilitate the nation as soon as peace returns.
The Spokesperson appealed to masses to continue engaging in prayers for peace in South Sudan and that with tireless prayers peace would prevail in the country.
Minister Makuei said the government supports private universities’ establishment especially for science and technology.
He commended the Catholic University of South Sudan for promoting quality rather than quantity.
