Inspector urges activists to educate public on child rights

Yei River County Gender, Child and Social Development Inspector on Friday urged the child protection committees and organizations to enlighten the public and commit to protect children from abuses.
 
Juma John Daniel expressed the commitment and readiness of child protection committees, civil society and community-based organizations to advocate for children rights, Easter Radio reported.
 
He called on partners to work with the law enforcement agencies to ensure proper implementation of child rights and holding accountable abusers.
 
Minyori Agency for Transformation and Development Data Officer Lagu David Seme cited child abuses including early marriages, rapes and parental neglect leading to sexual exploitation.
 
He appealed to parents to pay attention to problems facing children by providing access to education, health, and other basic rights.
 
Mr Lagu called on the government and child organizations to cooperate and end child rights abuses.
