Government spokesperson said the two religious leaders in Addis Ababa are representing themselves instead of South Sudan Council of Churches, describing them as ‘rebels’.
Michael Makuei Lueth accused the religious leaders of taking side with the opposition, saying all the time they are with the SPLM/A in opposition.
Deputy Foreign Minister Peter Bashir Gbandi admitted problems in the country and that all stakeholders should be involved to address them.
He said issues of governance need to be addressed and the government or SPLM/A in opposition alone could not decide the system of governance, but South Sudanese would want to select.
