Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs in Terekeka County of Central Equatoria State called for more food aid and farm tools to cultivate, wondering whether they would plant crops and realize good harvest without external support.
In a statement issued on Tuesday one of the IDPs a 24 years old mother of six children Rodha Jama Modi said she needs hoes and seeds to plant simsim, groundnuts and sorghum.
The IDPs said they fear to return home as there is still fighting going on in other parts of the Country.
Terekeka Commissioner Jacob Gore Samuel said the IDPs were forced mainly from Gemezza and Mangalla North where the opposition forces defected and passed through in mid December crisis.
Terekeka Relief & Rehabilitation Commission Coordinator John Modi said chicken, Goats and food of the IDPs were all looted by opposition forces, calling for support from well wishers.
Acting Gemezza Payam Administrator John Ladu said IDPs prefer to live on Islands where they feel safe, but lack health services.
