Save the Children called on government, donors and civil society organisations to invest more to save mothers and girls in South Sudan.
In a statement issued on Tuesday the organisation said more investment should be made in mothers and girls to save them during the difficult time.
Save the Children launched its 15th report on State of World Mothers, revealing over 240 thousand children under the age of five and over 300 thousand women of reproductive age as victims of conflict in South Sudan.
It added that an estimated 50 thousand women are pregnant and each month about four thousand of them are expected to deliver in bushes without access to antenatal care, delivery assistance and postnatal care.
The statement pointed out that out of four thousand deliveries about 600 deliveries are expected to have complication with at least 200 needing caesarean surgery.
It warned that without appropriate medical services death is eminent for mothers and babies.
