After a victory claim over control of Bentiu City from SPLM/A in opposition forces on Sunday, SPLA Spokesperson admitted they are facing fresh resistance with new battle erupting again on Monday Morning.
Colonel Philip Aguer Panyang told CRN on telephone interview that SPLA administration was still waiting for the outcome of the battle, promising to update the masses on development there.
Colonel Aguer advised civilians to keep away from areas of conflict to avoid crossfire.
He added that the civil population would be free to return if SPLA takes full control with clear calmness for protection.
Colonel Aguer believes Unity State natives were misled by some politicians, saying the conflict is tribal, yet it is about political differences contaminated with tribalism.
He added that government remains committed to continue providing protection to all citizens, regardless of ethnicity.
The army spokesperson said other parts they recaptured including Nasir still remain calm.
