United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights said its sisterly United Nations Children Emergency Fund, UNICEF reported that over nine thousand children were recruited into armed forces by South Sudan government and SPLM/A in opposition.
Navi Pillay revealed that 32 schools were taken over and occupied by conflicting forces and more than 20 attacks launched on clinics and health centres.
She told journalists on Wednesday in Juba that many women and girls were raped often by several fighters and that there were cases of abduction and indiscriminate killings of children by both sides.
Ms Pilly wondered how South Sudan would be if there would be no peace deal, no accountability and no space to rebuild trust and promote reconciliation in the nearest future.
She cried out about insufficient fund to cope with looming humanitarian disaster.
Ms Pilly lamented on many decades spent on conflict in South Sudan and economic neglect.
She pointed out that South Sudanese deserve better life from their own leaders and the international community, she criticised for acting slowly.
Ms Pilly decried the worse that would ensue if President Salva Kiir Mayardit and SPLM/A opposition leader Dr Riek Machar Teny would not end the conflict so soon.
