Union of South Sudanese Journalists, UJOSS chairman said the union is training journalists on regulatory skills to play a great role in pushing for the achievement of national interests.
Oliver Modi said while opening two days self regulatory training, journalists would be given necessary skills to understand their mandate, Morobo Community Radio reported.
He added that journalists would know how to organize stories to achieve public interest as opposed to personal interest.
South Sudan Radio Journalist Achola Hellen participating in the training affirmed that journalists act as the eye, sensitizing communities on various issues.
The self regulatory training equips media practitioners on identifying, developing and understanding the organization of information system and dissemination.
