Lakes State Member of Parliament in The National Legislative Assembly rejected accusations that politicians and intellectuals were fueling inter-communal fighting in the state.
Daniel Deng Monydit on Easter Sunday said no reasonable person could finger-point at public figures being responsible for inter-clan violence, arguing that it was simply a ploy of shifting blame, Good News Radio reported.
He added that politicians could be blamed for not being serious enough in calming fighting constituencies within their influence.
Auxiliary Bishop of Juba Archdiocese Santo Loku Pio accused some politicians of buying cattle and guns for young people to kill one another.
The legislators are in their constituencies to pursue peace and reconciliation among conflicting communities.
