A senior political analyst and a fellow associate at the University of Harvard urged Justice Minister to dismiss the trial of the four political detainees to avoid division of the people.

Luka Biong Deng in a talk show at Bakhita Radio Wake up Juba morning program said there would be no outcome from the trial because nobody would win the case.

He added that whether the four political detainees were acquitted or convicted still there would be division among the people.

Dr Biong said the Justice Minister has the right to withdraw the case and get President Salva Kiir Mayardit into negotiation for reconciliation with the accused.

He observed that if Pagan Amum Okiech, Oyay Deng Ajak, Majak De Agoot Atem and Ezekiel Lul Gatkuoth would be acquitted the government would be blamed and if they would be convicted, observers would say it was not a fair judgment.

Dr Biong said leaders should take it as an opportunity to transform for peace and reconciliation and create SPLM intra party dialogue.

The analyst called for serious reforms in the SPLM party to put in place a system.
