Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs in Torit City of Eastern Equatoria State received ten different non-food items in relief aid including jerry cans and blankets.
State Relief and Rehabilitation Commission Deputy Director John Odongi Simon told Radio Emmanuel that over 350 households received the aid.
He added that the beneficiaries are a part of more than seven thousand IDPs from various parts of the country including Jonglei State.
Mr Odongi said over six thousand IDPs had earlier on received the assistance.
The Deputy Relief Director added that the presence of IDPs exerts pressure on the available resources and increases commodity prices in markets.
Eastern Equatoria State houses 80 thousand IDPs including 35 thousand from Jonglei state settling at Nimule area of Ma’di corridor.
