Archbishop’s delegation visits Mangalla Parish to assess looting

Archbishop’s delegation led by Secretary-General of Juba Archdiocese visited Saint Thomas Apostolic Parish in Mangalla on Friday following reports of recent attacks and looting there.
 
Upon return Fr Gabriel Asida said the visit to Mangalla was designed to assess the level of looting and devise ways to support continuation of church services.
 
He decried the looting of the parish’s vehicle by attackers. 
 
Fr Asida disclosed that Mangalla St Thomas Parish was looted completely.
 
He added that there was no damage on the church building.
 
Fr Asida said Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro would assist Mangalla Parish administration with some personal items.
The Secretary-General said there was emergency response to Mangalla looting from various church levels.
 
The visiting delegation decried poor Mangalla road condition, adding that there were no more gunshots in the area.
