Agriculture and Forestry department in Tonj South County of Warrap State issued licenses to at least thirty charcoal and bamboos dealers.

Agriculture and Forestry Officer James Akec Agang urged illegal trees cutters for charcoal, bamboos and poles to get licences, Don Bosco Radio reported.

He ruled out that police would block out late comers from cutting charcoal and bamboos.

Mr Agang ordered people who got their license to cut old trees for charcoal, poles and bamboos.

He clarified that the government has no problem with people cutting firewood and poles for their own houses and not for business.

Mr Agang advised the entire Greater Tonj charcoal and timbers’ dealers to have their licenses before the government confiscate their machines.
