The National Health ministry in collaboration with the World Health Organization or WHO confirmed that South Sudan was Ebola free from April 2.
Minister Riek Gai Kok said Ebola outbreak reported in three West African countries was a bigger concern in the region, Bakhita Radio reported.
He explained that the ministry formed preventive and control measures and a multidisciplinary taskforce to coordinate response in case of outbreak.
Dr Gai said the taskforce would also instruct Juba Teaching Hospital to set up an isolated ward for any suspected case.
