UNMISS donates educational facilities to Rumbek School

The United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS donated educational facilities including several exercise books, sports materials, built four toilets and bathrooms to Rumbek National Secondary School.
 
UNMISS Acting State Coordinator Priscilla Cissry said the Mission was engaged in many activities geared at the welfare of civilians especially during the conflict, Good News Radio reported.
 
She said UNMISS was focusing more on protecting civilians in the ten states as part of its mandate.
 
The Head of the Academic and Students Affairs Manshoor Omar Ramadhan appreciated UNMISS for the support.
 
He urged UNMISS and the national government to construct a fence around the school compound.
 
The two officials spoke on Monday during the handover of the facilities at Rumbek National School Compound.
