Youths call for end to conflict

South Sudan Youth on Thursday called for an end to the ongoing conflict that killed thousands of people and displaced many others.
 
National Youth Crisis Management Committee Secretary General Evans Khamis said their Committee was formed to deliver services to conflict victims.
 
He said the government showed its commitment to support the Committee to reach the people in need.
 
Mr Khamis urged all communities to corporate to ease services delivery.
 
He called on all youths outside the country to mobilize resources.
 
Youth and Sports Undersecretary Peter Baptist Abaker said the Ministry issued a ministerial order to see how the young people could contribute to address the crisis.
 
He said the Committee was to form subcommittees to mobilize and sensitize young people to rescue the situation in the country.
 
Mr Baptist added that the committee was to promote social cohesion, mutual understanding and assist the government and all communities in the ten states to reconcile.
 
The Undesecretary said their leadership was keen to put the nation first and work hard to achieve peace and reconciliation.
 
He said the whole world was with South Sudan during the struggle for freedom for it to be a role model.
