At least ten Catechists from different parishes of Wau Diocese are undergoing a one-month training to enable them deepen Christian faith.
The training focuses on church history, self reliance, methodology and leadership, Voice of Hope reported.
PALICA Assistant Director Fr Arkangelo Louis said the training was the second of its kind of the three years for catechists’ formation in the diocese.
He explained that the level of pastoral activities in the diocese was decreasing due to few catechists in parishes.
Fr Louis clarified that the training focuses more on strengthening catechists’ knowledge on Catholic Christianity in order to help their communities.
He expected catechists to have more knowledge on the new methodology of the catechism after the training.
More Catechists are expected to join the group from other parishes.
