University of Bahr El Ghazal or UBG Vice Chancellor in Wau announced that the administration was working to form a Students Union soon.

Professor Timothy Telar Ring said the University is expected to make a step ahead in February, Voice of Hope reported.

He appreciated staff and students for smooth flow of the exams.

Ayeny Gwat, a second year student of Economics said absence of the Student Union effected coordination between students and university administration.

Another student Grange Yor Akol said formation of the Union would facilitate unity among students and arrangement of the academic calendar.

Many students hoped that the promise would not be an administrative propaganda.

Bahr El Ghazal University students started working for the Union since 2006 after drafting a constitution and it submitted it to administration.
