Yei Catholic Diocese on Saturday morning laid to rest South Sudan and Sudan elderly priest at the Diocesan cemetery in Joseph Parish Lutaya.
Torit Catholic Diocese representative Monsignor Julius Si’dan said time came for Monsignor Jocondo Anyugo to leave and go to the next world, Easter Radio reported.
He urged Christians of Yei to pray for the soul of Monsignor Anyugo to be accepted in God’s kingdom.
Hundreds of faithful gathered at St Joseph Parish Lutaya for the burial of the late Monsignor.
The Cardinal of the Sudan, South Sudan and Kenya Apostolic Nuncio, Archbishops of Juba and Kampala, bishop of Tombura-Yambio and many others sent their condolences to Yei Catholic Diocese for losing Monsignor Jocondo Anyugo.
They prayed that God grants him eternal rest.
