Rumbek Catholic Diocese Youth Congress under the theme: ‘Truth will set you free’ concluded peacefully on Sunday at Sacred Heart Parish in Tonj South of Warrap State.
Rumbek Youths member Elizabeth Aching Majok said during the four-day Congress they played many games including football, volleyball and running competition, Don Bosco Radio reported.
Tonj youths’ representative James Tokmac said the Congress would enable youths to look into their Christian identity, the truth, the joy of sharing faith and being children of God.
Mapuordit youths’ representative Daniel Rantiar said the youths were the right people to advise their brothers in cattle camps to work for peace.
He thanked the entire Tonj community for welcoming all youths from different parishes to celebration together peacefully.
Mr Rantiar added that Rumbek Diocesan Youth Congress targeted one thousand young people from different parishes.
