National Labour and Public Service Ministry urged graduates of vocational training institutions to form groups in order to get loans from banks and micro-finance institutions.
Speaking during the 5th graduation of St Vincent de Paul Vocational Training Centre at Lologo in Juba on Thursday, the national Labour Undersecretary Hellen Achiro Lotara said forming groups, the graduates would get resources and reduce risks in running businesses.
She said the government would assist vocational training graduates to get jobs in the formal sector and set up their own enterprises.
Central Equatoria Education Minister Hastin Yokwe said the state government was willing to lease land to any individual or private institution investing in education and vocational training.
The Centre’s Director Hakim Kuol urged the government to speed up the enactment of laws to regulate the labour market.
He advised the graduates to show commitment and dedication in their work.
