Western Bahr El Ghazal State on Tuesday started a four-day polio vaccination campaign.
The campaign targeted 135 thousand children below five years of age in three counties, Voice of Hope reported.
State Health Minister Isaac Cleto said during the launch in Wau Municipality called on mothers to vaccinate their babies to guarantee healthy life.
He called on the World Health Organization or WHO to vaccinate children in Blue Nile and Kordofan regions since those communities freely move to South Sudan.
State Expanded Program on Immunization or EPI Assistance Manager Salah Abdulgasim said vaccinators were ready to reach far areas which were inaccessible during the rainy season.
He reported that vaccinators faced some difficulties including limited logistics especially in Raja County in the previous exercise.
