Mortality rates in refugee camps of Unity and Upper Nile states have fallen steadily since June when they reached a worrying pike.
Both the crude mortality rate – which refers to all causes of death among all groups – and the mortality rate for children under five are now at the normal level for a settled population according to international indictors, UNOCHA said.

Unity and Upper Nile camps host over 76 thousand refugees from South Kordofan and 122 thousand from Blue Nile.
