Western Bahr El Ghazal steering committee mandated to form a Graduates’ Union registered only 30 graduates in two weeks.
The committee targeted one thousand graduates within 45 days, Voice of Hope reported.
The Committee Information Secretary Sabir Ramadan Fadil said the registration process was low in one registration center.
He said most graduates misconceived the idea and feared that the process was politicized.
Mr Ramadan said the committee was also mandated to draft the Constitution before conducting graduates’ general conference.
He clarified that the Union would be independent from and that it was not politically affiliated.
Mr Ramadan explained that through the union elite would be able to share ideas and fight illiteracy in the state.
The Committee Information Secretary said the independence and integrity of the union relies on the collective responsibility of graduates.
