The United Nations Undersecretary-General for the Department of Field Support will travel to Bentiu, Unity State on Friday, during her tour to South Sudan.
Ameerah Haq will meet with Deputy Governor Colonel Mabek Lang de Mading and the Council of State, UNMISS said in a statement.
She will also visit the headquarters of the second Mongolian Battalion serving with UNMISS and attend a medal parade.
Mongolian engineers assisted local authorities building dykes and roads since June when the Governor requested their support to address damages caused by floods in the area.
Ms Haq’s visit to Bentiu is part of a wider tour in South Sudan.
In Juba, she will meet with Foreign Affairs Minister Benjamin Mariel Barnaba, UNMISS staff and the Mission’s senior management.
