FIFA, the world’s football regulating body, concluded a five-day training for referees and assistant referees in South Sudan.
The association reported in its website that 30 people – two female and 28 male – from all over the country took part in the training programme that ended on Thursday in Juba.
FIFA said the course ‘aimed at upgrading the theoretical and practical knowledge of referees and assistants referees on the interpretation of the laws of the game.’
The referees and assistant referees formation was the first development course FIFA organised in South Sudan.
The association announced a coaching course for December 2 to 5.
South Sudan Football Association is a FIFA member since May 2012.
