The Nuba women and Child Development Social Welfare Institute on Wednesday conducted a two-day workshop to empower women.
The workshop under the theme ‘together we empower the community’ discussed dangers of malnourishment among children and the importance of proper feeding and care during pregnancy and after delivery, Voice of Peace reported.
Women and Child Development Welfare leader Raja Adam Mahjoub said the exercise aimed at improving health of mothers and their new born babies.
She added that the workshop would help the community to maintain services children and mothers need.
A participant, Ali Abdalla Kitan, said the workshop came at the right time and that it was valuable and useful to the entire community of Nuba Mountains.
The workshop brought together 66 participants including Rashad and Dalami County Commissioners.
