Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO on Thursday in Juba petitioned African Union or AU over Abyei referendum.
CEPO Executive Director Edmond Yakani said the recent AU Peace and Security Council decision does not have serious stance on the fate of Abyei and has no strong pressure on the Sudan government, Bakhita Radio reported.
He added that CEPO realized AU Implementation Panel biasness by not putting a balance pressure on South Sudan and Sudan.
CEPO called on the AU Peace and Security Council to fix time line for the Abyei referendum conduct than calling for negotiations.
AU ambassador to South Sudan Stanislaus Nakaha said he will forward the petition to high authorities for discussion.
