The United Nations Children’s Fund or UNICEF on Friday concluded the training of teachers on life skills at the state Ministry of Education in Yambio.
About 35 Primary and Secondary teachers and top state government officials participated in the five-day training, Anisa Radio reported.
The objective of the training was to transform teachers and impart in them new techniques and skills of teaching.
Participants’ representative Abilu Isaac Martin from Yambio Secondary School appreciated UNICEF and the Ministry for giving them new skills to realize quality education.
He requested the Ministry and UNICEF for more trainings and supervisions to follow up the implementation of what they acquired in the training.
UNICEF Education Officer, Steward Francis Kutiyote said this program was organized for all counties and states of South Sudan.
Education Director-General Gibson Waru urged teachers to implement the knowledge they acquired to improve the standard of education in the state.
