Hundreds of Christians on Sunday witnessed Joachim Lomogo taking oath to lead the faith in at Saints Peter and Paul Parish of the Catholic Diocese of Torit.
Fr Lomogo vowed to keep the faith, teachings and the tradition of the Church to care for souls of the faithful, Emmanuel Radio reported.
He noted that the Church of Christ remains neutral for all who were baptized according to the Catholic teaching.
Torit Catholic Diocese Apostolic Administrator Thomas Oliha handed the parish priest as shepherd to Christians.
He thanked the former acting parish priest Joseph Ukelo for serving the faithful of Sts Peter and Paul parish.
