Tombura-Yambio Diocese rehabilitates Nangbimo-Ribodo road

Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese Humanitarian Department on Wednesday launched the rehabilitation of Nangbimo-Ribodo feeder road in Yambio County.
 
Church leaders, government officials and local communities on Thursday gathered at Nangbimo Primary School to launch the exercise, Anisa Radio reported. 
 
Local communities will manually repair the road and would daily be paid 25 South Sudanese Pounds for each person.
 
Diocesan Humanitarian program manager Benjamin Badinga urged Nangbimo and Ribodo communities to turn up in good number for the rehabilitation work.
 
Yambio town chief Angelo Mokonzi thanked the Diocese for supporting local people develop their own places.
 
State Physical Infrastructure ministry Engineer William Sabat appreciated the diocese for supporting the government in delivering services to citizens.
 
He warned youths against drinking too much alcohol during working hours.
 
The Diocesan Development and Peace Office in its five-year plan said it was shifting from food items distribution to long term services delivery like roads and bridges.
