Several people are suffering of water born diseases in Yei hospital and intestine warms got by drinking dirty water.
Yei River County Acting Commissioner Guido Unyango said people drinking dirty water result to serious suffering on typhoid, Easter Radio reported.
He clarified that provision of clean drinking water will reduce water born diseases in the County.
Mr Unyango urged GIZ to involve people of Yei in the urban water project implementation.
He called for good networking and financing of the project for sustainability and capacity build of local people.
Water and Sanitation Project manager Samuel Taban said the water utility was one of the best that set socio-economic development in the County.
He said Yei County was blessed with electricity and water utilities, calling on authorities to nurture the cooperation spirit with partners for the benefit of citizens.
The two were speaking on Thursday during the signing ceremony of the service delivery memorandum between the county and GIZ in Yei.
