The delay to repair the central borehole at Atlabara residential area in Yei County became a big blow to over 170 families due to lack of clean drinking water.
Some anonymous residents told Easter Radio that they fetch water from the neighboring boreholes with congestions and conflicts.
Atlabara headman Ezra Luwate Faustino said their borehole’s chain and two pipes broke down last week.
He said residents contributed only 250 South Sudanese Pounds which was not enough to pay technicians who demanded 565 Pounds for repair and spare parts.
Mr Luwate called on Atlabara residents to unite, cooperate and turn up for meeting to discuss about the borehole repair.
He appealed for understanding and respect among residents.
